How can you thin hair with regular scissors?
I am a teenage guy with thick, long-ish hair. I get it thinned at the salon when I get a trim, but it grows out quickly enough and gets poofy again.

How can I thin my hair (by myself) with regular scissors?

Please don't say "just buy thinning scissors", I'm asking a serious question here.

I know this isn't the answer that you prefer, but it is not healthy for you to use reglar scissors on your hair, ur ends will begin to split and look ratty. I wouldn't recommend thinning scissors but I would recommend a comb….its from sally's and it has razor blades between each tooth. It was only $1 when I purchased it. Good Luck!

well my mom is a Professional hair stylist and she thins my hair by grabbing a medium sized piece of hair then drags the scissors blade across it form starting at the top of the piece. but she usually does this with styling scissors so im not sure if it will work with regular ones. other wise it does work.
