The pain, swelling, and bruising is probably from you handling the shears with your bare hands.
Your skin was most likely being rubbed against all day, and is just pissed off from being abused. The bruising and swelling is probably from the hard shears being pressed and rubbed against your bones for seven hours. 
Take like TWO days off from this job if you can, and don&#039;t use your hands too often. Your supervisor is an idiot. Swelling and pain like that will take at least two to three days to heal.
