Celebrity Hairstyles at the 2011 MT...

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards was an occasion when some of the most popular celebrities came together to provide us with some of the best celebrity hair and fashion ideas to get inspired from.

The awards show was fabulous and so were the performances. Selena Gomez, Nikki Minaj, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Kelly Rowland and other A-list celebrities flaunted their celebrity hairstyles and makeup.

The 28th MTV Video Music Awards was made memorable as it awarded the artists by recognizing their talent and hard work.
Check out some of the eye-catching red carpet hairstyles and equally interesting makeup styles that made some of the celebrities stand out.

While most of the celebrities chose to adopt simple and elegant hairstyles, Katy Perry and Nicky Minaj went for something totally unusual. They both colored their hair in red and pink shades respectively and complemented with a strong make-up to make sure they stood out from the rest of the celebrities.

Brooklyn Decker’s hairstyle at ES...

Brooklyn Decker looked red hot when she walked the ESPY Awards 2011 Red Carpet with a new celebrity hairstyle. Interestingly, the 24-year-old supermodel and actress chose a Jay Ahr leather dress that was red in color!

Brooklyn, who was one of the presenters during the show, looked fresh and natural with her tousled hair and minimal makeup.

Here’s how celebrity hairstylist Charles Baker Strahan’s created Brooklyn’s celebrity hairstyle:

  • “With Brooklyn, we started on second-day hair, which is typically better with short hair as it prevents it from looking too mature.”
  • “Using hairspray, I grabbed random pieces of hair, twisted them and flat-ironed the twists. This creates a slightly rougher wave texture.”
  • “I then back combed the root of the hair at the crown to give volume and pinned it back to create structure and lift around the crown of the head.”
  • “Using a 1 1/4” curling iron, I created a wave with the shorter pieces around the face to give a feminine, yet tough look. I then finished off the overall look with a little bit of the hairspray!”


Brooklyn kept her makeup to a minimum, as she preferred to focus attention on her leather dress. But her celebrity hairstyle got much attention as well.

Lucy Hale arrived at the 36th Annual Gracie Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, California with a unique celebrity hairstyle. The young star caught everyone’s eyeballs by flaunting her funky yet feminine red carpet look.

With many stars attending the awards gala, it was Lucy Hale’s hairstyle that won many hearts. The gorgeous star was looking like a Greek Goddess in a gold short dress. She paired it with accessories that included sparkling earrings and unique big and bold rings.

Talking about Lucy Hale’s hairstyle, she pulled back her sleek dark locks in a chic ponytail. She definitely rocked with her celebrity hairstyle at the 2011 Gracie Awards.

Instead of opting for a basic pony, Lucy combined a middle part with Bridget Bardot-esque volume at the crown and gathered it all together at the nape of her neck. Though she didn’t seem to cut her hair with hair scissors, yet her style looked trimmed and neat.
