I use my right hand for playing tennis, using a mouse, Tv remote… etc. But i use my left hand for writing. I see left handed shops around for things like left handed scissors but i have no need for these. Is this normal? would it be better for me if i started using my left hand for other things?

I am left handed and finding out just for interest information on left handed people. I have found that it can be due to your genes and it can also be hereditary and only 3% of people are left handed if both there parents are right handed which is what i am but is this really true. left handed people are more prone to suicide, mental illnesses, asthma and allergies (apprentely from research). I have also keep reading that left handed people have higher IQ becuase they use the right side or there brain more which controls the left side of there body. they are more creative as well. everyone i know that is left handed are really smart and my maths teacher is left handed and he is the best teacher in the department and many videos on maths (online teachers) from youtube are taught by left handed people. so are left handed people really more intelligent.
obliviously we struggle with writing and many people including me write awkwardly which causes cramp and smudged, wobbly, hand writing. i struggle in exams becuase my hand starts to ache so much, so does this mean they do worse in exams ? does anyone have any other disadvantages which they struggle with. i use left handed scissors which are amazing because i could never cut. But are left handed people really that different would you consider them as a minority or perhaps disabled or is it just the opposite of a right handed person and makes no real difference. Are we writing the wrong way and need to be corrected ? are we born that way or just something we pick up which can be changed or do you think it is more mental. Are we clumsy and cack-handed or do people just stereotype us too much.
what are yours views left handed people and right handed people on this topic
thanks

Wow I never thought about it but i geuss you could consider left handed people an minority, when everything is automatically made for right handed people and left handed people have to look far and wide for things that work for them. No I don’t think left handed people are disabled I had a friend that was left handed back in middle school and when we played dodge ball he could throw those big red balls harder than anybody.

I would like to purchase a pair of left-handed scissors for ordinary use, but I do not want to have to order them online. Do any major stores (target, walmart, etc.) sell them right on the shelf?
craft stores should have them. like Jo-anns or Michaels
