Merry Christmas

Twas’ the night before Christmas
And all through the boat
The chance of going home
Seemed quite remote

The crew was all ready
Their bags were all packed
The go ahead from the super
Was all that they lacked

Then from the stern
There came such a clatter
I looked out my porthole
To see what was the matter

A crewboat was coming
It’s engine a roar
Carrying supplies for the job
And personnel from shore

All hands were on deck
And with hope they believed
That someone was onboard
So they could be relieved

On came a welder a diver
2 tenders a cook
All others must stay on
You should have seen the look

They knew they were stuck
For the rest of the hitch
How long before I’m off?
You could hear them all bitch

And as the boat left
They were all heard to say
I swear that next year
I won’t work Christmas day

I know how you feel. I work in the oilfield in the Gulf of Mexico. I am waiting for my hitch to end but I am affraid I might be stuck out here for Christmas day. But you never know, I will have to wait and see if my relief comes out on the right boat.

I'm left handed and I pay more for a baseball glove and golf clubs. Not to mention I have to adapt to items that are made right handed (i.e. scissors, desks, etc)

yes!!! righty scissors are a pain in the ass!! the only lefty scissors they have in school is the crappy rusty ones that hurt ur fingers! the desks are uncomfortable, cuz theres that stupid right arm thing sticking out. i also hate how people dont let us write backwords! dont they understand we get ink on our hands?! everyday i come home n theres ink n pencil all on my hand! hopefully one day discrimination against lefties will end.

I am not sure why but I found my daughter with a pair of scissors giving the cat a hair cut. When I stopped her she had just finished cutting off all his whiskers on the left side of his face. Since this happened the just makes right hand circles. I called an animal shrink to see how straighten out this problem. I read once if a cat looses whiskers they loose there since of balance. Should I have my daughter trim the other side of the cats whiskers? Maybe the cat will be able to walk a straight line.

lol im sorry i couldn’t help but laugh..but yes it is true if they lost their whiskers they do lose their balance but i definitely do not think you should have her trim the other side it might just make the cat a lot worst..I know with my first cat when i was about 6 my mom found me doing the same thing the cat honestly got better all on his own it took a good week or so.if i remember correctly. i hope i could help at all.

At a hair salon like Super Cuts. Would I regret it if they thin my hair with thinning shears? It sounds like I would. (I have thick hair right now)
But wouldn't your hair grow back and in a few months your hair would be thinner?
But wouldn't your hair grow back and in a few months your hair would be thinner? The thing is, my thick hair is puffy and I want to wear it down.

well you have extremely thick hair, thinning couldn't hurt. I cost about the same price as a hair cut. why would you want it thinned out tho. trust me when your old and your hair is falling out you will wish you your hair was thick. Good luck. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

Who went to stores lately in Maryland and saw hair thinning scissors in there? Thank you

I've seen them in Walmart, or if there's a Sally's Beauty Supply they'll have them.
