I've been cracking up with all the comments I've had the last few days! A few of them really are plain gross too - next time I may think a little harder about the sort of comments I ask for :) I was hoping to not get bored - that's all! Today I finally managed to get a haircut - I've been overdue for a couple of months. It feels really nice to have it all cut off again! I'm not at all attached - can you tell? Yes, I know there's root's in there - I'd rather buy my color in a box and sp
The other day, my hubby and I took the kids swimming. We splashed and laughed and soaked up the Texas sun. But we didn't follow our most important rule while out with our kids. And because of it, we paid the high price of a tantrum in public . It was a humdinger. My best parenting tip: Leave while you're having fun. I heard someone say years ago they avoided tantrums, over-tired, and just all-around cranky kids, if they left WHILE they were having fun. If you wait (lik
Machine shops, the world over use all sorts of machines that help drill, cut, shape, weld, and mold parts for our every day use. For this manual however I will talk about the shear. First a little history: For the most part, machine shops and the industrial revolution can trace its steps back to John Steven's the third, who pushed for Americas first patent act of 1790. He started his machine shop on land that was previously owned by William Bayard, who was a loyalist during the Revolutionary w
Okey dokey. Let’s see if I can take a crack at translating this expenses thing into Yankee. Members of the British Parliament are expected to keep a home in their constituency district and also have accomodation in London for when Parliament is in session. Two homes. London is the second most expensive city in the world . The average MP makes £64K per annum (around $100,000). You could swing it, but it would be pretty tight. So, rather than pissing the voters off by giving themselves a fat

Run The Earth, Watch The Sky
The time has come for me
To leave this place of complacency

And step out across that line
To the place where I
Can leave all that I have behind
And give You this heart of mine

But what if I’m the only one to break the silence
What if I’m the only one to crack the ice

I’ll join the rocks in their singing
I’ll join the ocean as it harmonizes with the shore
I’ll clap my hands with the mountains
As all creation cries for more

I’ll never stop, if I’m the last one living
Your song goes on and on and I must testify
I know that I was born to worship
So if all the singing seems to stop
I’ll join the rocks

My ship is sailing now
Into an ocean and I can’t tell
What’s on the other side
But I know if I don’t leave
My heart will never forgive me
And I’ll be left behind

But what if I’m the only one to see there’s more to this
What if we have just begun to scratch the surface

I’ll join the rocks in their singing
I’ll join the ocean as it harmonizes with the shore
I’ll clap my hands with the mountains
As all creation cries for more

OK…this one takes the next step. I love your complete disregard for semetry here. It is true free-form art. Again, you bring the message over the top while drawing pictures underneath. I like this very much…TD
