April 2010 Archives

After flaunting her celebrity hairstyles in Paris, Jennifer Lopez was seen sporting a new hairstyle at London. She was seen with a beehive hairstyle at the premiere of her new movie, The Back-Up Plan, held at London’s Vue West End.

Jennifer Lopez hairstyles are generally not too overdone. She has been busy these days while promoting her new romantic comedy The Back-up Plan. JLo has kept her usual style of long and wavy layers for most of the press tour for her film, but she opted for a very fashionable look during its premiere in London.

JLo decided to walk the red carpet with a beehive hairstyle which looked good on her. The 40 year old actress sent shock waves through London after she altered her celebrity hairstyle.

Just a few days ago JLo was spotted wearing three very different looks in just one day in Paris during her European trip. After those 3 chick celebrity hairstyles, she adopted the beehive hairstyle for her appearance in London.

I wonder whether the beehive hairstyle is the latest trend this season. Just a few days ago, Lady GaGa was seen sporting a lemon beehive hairstyle during her promotional tour in Japan.

Stylists had said that short hair will be the new trend this season, but looking at Jennifer Lopez’s new hairstyle, the recent trends seems to be different.

It will be interesting to see which hairstyle does JLo adopt next. It may be her regular long hair or maybe a short one or she may even add a few extensions to create a tailor-made celebrity hairstyle. What do you think?

Tyra Sanchez has won the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2. She edged past JujuBee and Raven to become the queen of Season 2 of this reality series.

RuPaul’s Drag Race included 12 contestants in Season 2 while Season 1 had only 9. Tyra Sanchez emerged victorious amongst all the contestants and Raven was declared the runner-up.

The final challenge for the last three queens was to shoot the music video for RuPaul’s next single, named “Jealous of My Boogie.” Robert Verdi and Mathu Anderson along with choreographer Ryan Heffington were the star guests for this challenge.

The winning crown looked great on Tyra but I think she needed a quick haircut. A few snips with the help of hairdressing scissors would have enhanced her hairstyle and overall look.

RuPaul’s Drag Race is a reality television series produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV. The aim of this reality series is to find America’s Next Drag Superstar and RuPaul plays the host and mentor for this series.

There wasn’t too much happiness in the air when Tyra Sanchez was declared as the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2. Majority of the viewers wanted JujuBee to win the series, but in the end Tyra proved too lucky for both JujuBee and Raven.

Boston Marathon 2010 begins today and if you are a participant, then you need to give a serious consideration to your hairstyle. Running in a marathon is not easy and you definitely don’t want your hair to interrupt you while you are inching closer to your target.

Boston Marathon 2010
will be held for the 114th time today. Coincidentally, the Boston Marathon falls on Patriots’ Day – April 19, 2010 – the third Monday in April. This event is organized by the Boston Athletic Association whose principal sponsor is the John Hancock Financial Services.

The legendary Boston Marathon course follows a point-to-point route from rural Hopkinton to Boston. So while you are busy running, here are some hairstyle ideas for this marathon.

If you have medium or long hair, the best hairstyle for you would be a ponytail. You can easily tie up your hair in a rubber band and proceed to the marathon without too much thinking.

Another great hairstyle idea for Boston Marathon 2010 is to cut your hair short with the help of hair-cutting scissors. This idea will be feasible only if you have been planning to cut your hair short but waiting for the right opportunity.

If you like wearing a cap, then it can also help to keep your hair in place while you are running.

Whether you use hair-cutting scissors or a cap, make sure your hair do not disturb you while you are concentrating on the finish line of the Boston Marathon 2010.
