Split ends and cutting hair with thinning shears/a razor?

December 28, 2008

i've heard this kind of hair cut is good for people who have thick hair (thats why i wanted to get it, i have thick wavy poofy hair), is this true?
I've also heard you get many split ends from this kind of haircut, that is the only reason why i am apprehensive about getting it done, does anyone have any information about this which would help me? would you recommend the haircut to me or not?

my sister has really thick hair and she had it done it looks and feels loads better its deffo worth it and she doesnt have any split ends apart from the few she has from straightening.
And last night i went to the hairdressers and had this done and my hair is so much easier to straighten now and i dont think its given me split ends lol well i hope not
i think you should do it you will be happy with the results!

  4. my hair is exacley the same as yours.
and i know doing anything you can really helps.

layers, and razoring is deffinatley the way to go.
people with hair like ours tends to get split ends
more quickly than others anyways. Both work but its not
    a huge change.
