The New Year has just begun and we have started witnessing a lot of celebrity hairstyles. Men and women are heading to salons to get new looks for 2010. Celebrity hair needs to be styled with care and stylists make use of professional hair shears while dealing with celebrities.

It was Britney Spears who started 2010 with a new celebrity hairstyle. Britney went Brunette again and was spotted with her new ‘do in a hotel. Brit had been showing off her trademark blonde locks for months until she got a new darker hair color.

The surprising celebrity hairstyle of 2010 (so far) has been that of Lady Gaga who sported a new hair color at the Fontainebleau in Miami. Perhaps bored of her platinum strands, which experienced a host of transformations in 2009, the Paparazzi singer had taken her blonde ambition to the next level, opting for a shade of sunny flaxen that is ambitious indeed.

Lady Gaga hairstyles were very weird in 2009 as one of her styles looked like a massive dome. Celebrity hairstyles can be unconventional at times and Lady GaGa is one celebrity who makes them look ridiculous at times.

Recently, Kate Gosselin ditched her famous short spiky ‘do and started the new year off with an old (for her) hairstyle. Thanks to hair extensions, Kate’s blonde locks are now long and lush. It is reported that celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, spent nearly 20 hours last week meticulously adding hundreds of extensions to Kate Gosselin’s hair.

We are just one week old in 2010 and have already seen some high profile celebrities sporting new styles. It seems that 2010 will be a year of celebrity hairstyles!
